Firefighters swiftly arrived on the scene, but they soon realized their standard ladders were no match for the towering height and the worker’s position inside the sign’s structure. After assessing the situation, rescuers called in the big guns: a specialized crane with an impressive reach, brought from the neighboring city of Joliet. This colossal machine was tasked with the delicate retrieval of the stranded worker. The operation proceeded smoothly, and after hours of anticipation and tension, the individual was safely brought back to solid ground.
